The First Crusade: wars between Christianity and Islam: vol 1.

The First Crusade an event that took place over 900 years ago, the events that took place in that era was so horrific that ripples are still felt by it to this present day. I have just published a book giving all the interment details of The First Crusade, and I have been told by my critics that I am too bias towards the subject matter. They say this because I am a Muslim and in my book I speak about the carnage, bloody murders, rapes, pillaging, ransacking, religious intolerance conducted by the Christians and most of all the genocide that took place in Jerusalem. Because I mentioned them which is a well known fact and is something that the Vatican Church does not hide or conceal. When Jews write about the holocaust no one ever accuses them of being bias, and what the crusaders did in Jerusalem, was pure carnage just like a holocaust.

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre

What makes Jerusalem such a holy place for the Christians is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, it is said that Jesus was crucified there and also was the place were he was buried. Some Christians believe that the resurrection will take there as the Orthodox Christians sometimes call this Church the Church of Resurrection. If this is the case should we be made to believe that this was the pure motive that drove the Christians to recapture Jerusalem from the Muslims? What really drove people to have the passion of fire in making the huge leap forward towards Jerusalem was the speech that Pope Urban II made in 1095:

A race absolutely alien to God has invaded the Land of Christians, has reduced the people with the sword, rapine and flame. The have circumcised the Christians, either spreading the blood from the circumcisions on the altars or pouring it into the baptismal fonts. And they cut open the navels of those whom they choose to torment with loathsome death, tear out their most vital organs and tie them to a stake, drag them around and flog them as they lie prone on the ground with all their entrails out. What shall I say of the appalling violation of women, of which is more evil to speak than to keep silent?  On whom therefore, does the task lie of avenging this, of redeeming this situation, if arms, magnitude of heart, litheness of body and strength to humble anyone who resists you.

Horrific speech made by Pope Urban II in 1095
